1 Explore the Starfall website thoroughly. There is so much learning for your child on the Kindergarten Page
ABC Learn your letters sounds
The order we learn them in at Donnington is as follows

If your child knows all their letter sounds explore a e i o u at the bottom of the ABC page then move onto ‘Learn to Read’
Explore the Math section where you will find games to help your child learn the names of numbers and shapes, count, add and subtract. There are also activities about weighing and position words. Beware of the money games. They talk about cents and dollars rather than pence and pounds.
Please ensure that your child knows how to click on the ear picture to enable verbal instructions and commentary.
2. Show your child this wonderful video clip about how to wash your hands after covering them in paint. Maybe try it out!
3. Explore the fun, educational songs on www. youtube.com by the following:

The Singing Walrus
The Singing Walrus
4. Check out PE with Joe on http://www.youtube.com
5. Pick up your child’s individualised learning pack from school.
These are just by the front door so a member of staff can just pass it to you and you don’t need to come in.
Please don’t worry about your child’s learning. It is hard to stop them learning at this age!
Share stories and non-fiction books with them, cook with them and explore in the garden if you are lucky enough to have one.
Talk,talk, talk with them and MAKE LEARNING FUN at all times.
Please do not give your child endless worksheets that are of no value at this age for nearly all of the class.
Have fun drawing to develop their pen control.
