  • Final Full Day at Gordon Brown

    Thu 26 May 2022

Today was our final full day at Gordon Brown - we can’t believe we are coming home tomorrow! This morning we did a blindfold trail and the low ropes, where we impressed all the adults with our team working skills. Can you tell who we are with the blindfolds on? This afternoon we took part in a Megabowl, which is like a sports day with odd activities like a welly toss. We can’t wait for the disco and campfire this evening - it’s going to be a blast! See you tomorrow!!

  • Roman Gladiator Day at Gordon Brown

    Wed 25 May 2022

We finished a great day yesterday with our talent show; we really impressed the teachers. Today, we had Roman Gladiator Day where we trained in all the skills needed to survive as a gladiator. In the morning, we made shields and learnt the wall formation before we tested our team work on an obstacle course. This afternoon, we tried archery and we can’t believe how much we improved within a few hours!

  • Survival Day at Gordon Brown

    Tue 24 May 2022

Wow - what a day! Today was our first full day of activities at Gordon Brown and it was a ‘Survival Day’. We spent the morning walking in the local area and spotting different shelters before we built our own. Unfortunately, they didn’t keep us completely dry from the thunder storm! After lunch, we went foraging for wood and then built our own fires. We used them to cook popcorn! This evening is our Talent Show so we’ve been thinking about our acts all day and we can’t wait until our ‘Gladiator’ training day tomorrow.

  • Arrival at Gordon Brown

    Mon 23 May 2022

We have arrived and are having the most amazing time! After a movie marathon on the coach, we impressed all the adults by making our beds and passing our first room inspections. This afternoon was filled with a tour of the site and meeting all the animals that live here - we are responsible for the pigs and chickens this week! Tomorrow is survival today where we will be building shelters and cooking on fires and we can’t wait to tell you all about it.
