Queen Elizabeth II
Fri 09 Sep 2022The Donnington pupils and staff were very sad to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and would like to join with the rest of the country in extending our best wishes to the Royal Family.
Today, we had a special assembly and discussed the reasons why so many people who didn't personally know the Queen might be sad. We spoke about losing people, our feelings and how we could help each other if our friends ever become sad.
Recently we were lucky enough to receive a thank you card from Buckingham Palace on behalf of the Queen for some art work which celebrated her Platinum Jubilee. Ms Roots and the children who attended art club during the Summer Term sent a collage of their work to the Queen and we received a personal card and message during the holiday.
The pupils at Donnington Primary School continue to make us all proud.
